Colors and Interior Design

It's very essential what colors we choose when painting our home. The overall environment inside our house affects our disposition throughout the day. For those office workers, or even homemakers, what do we want to do at the end of the day? Of course we want to enjoy and relax at home after all the buzz of the entire day. Remember that our house is our safe haven from everything, environmental forces and even from emotional encounters in life. I have here a few sample interior designs featuring different paint colors and how it relates to the personality of the person living in the house.

RED

This color is often associated with love and has long been used to depict true love. For interior designs, red is elegant and grandiose.

ORANGE

Consider the vibrant orange color in your home. You cannot often see this color used as the main paint in a house. This is often used to accentuate only. But if you want to get noticed, why not give it a shot?

Orange aids in the assimilation of new ideas and frees the spirit of its limitations, giving us the freedom to be ourselves. At the same time it encourages self-respect and respect of others. Orange is probably the most rejected and under-used color of our time. However, young people do respond well to it as it has a degree of youthful impulsiveness to it. YELLOW

Another rainbow color which is ideal for your home is yellow. It is one of the warm colors and is cheerful. Do you remember the old song with lyrics that somehow goes this way: "just tie a yellow ribbon in the old oak tree if you still love me". Yellow is a symbol of hope and is still used to welcome home loved ones. When you use this color for your dream house, its a symbol of communication, observation and creativity.

GREEN

If there's one color at home I cannot live without is this, green. Whether you have this on your painted walls or just in your garden, green definitely will give your home a different homey vibe. It symbolizes nature, fertility and life.

CHARTREUSE

This color is somewhat between yellow and green. The greener shades of chartreuse have a fresh, Springtime feel and it can be a bit 60s retro. The more yellow chartreuse is a perky color but its warmth is toned down by the bits of green (http://desktoppub.about.com/od/choosingcolors/f/What-Color-Is-Chartreuse.htm)
